Physics Postdoc Receives 2020 Travel Award for Young Investigators

Dr. Francisco Navarette, postdoctoral fellow in the research group of physics distinguished professor Uwe Thumm, was recently named one of two winners of the 2020 Travel Awards sponsored by an Evaluation Committee organized by the editorial board of the journal Atoms.

Navarette received 500 Swiss Francs in partial support of his attendance at an academic conference of his choosing in 2020 to report on his latest results on the theory of up-converting infrared into extreme ultraviolet light in solids.
